Deleting your PayungMed account

Delete your account in the app

This page is about deleting an account in PayungMed, the appointment app published by Aznidin Zainuddin.

The quickest way is in the app itself. Open Settings, then Account, then Delete account, and confirm. The request is made the moment you confirm, and no email is needed.

Ask for deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, you can ask us by email.

Send an email to support@payungmed.my with the subject Delete my account, and include the email address your PayungMed account uses. Send it from that same address. We reply to that address to confirm the request, and it goes ahead once you answer from that address. Answering from the account's own address is how we know the request comes from the person the account belongs to, so we never ask for a password, a code or a copy of an identity card.

If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, your account uses an address Apple made for you, and an email from your usual address cannot prove it is yours. For that account, use the app on your iPhone.

What is deleted

Deleting an account removes the account and what our service holds for it:

• your sign-in record, so the email address no longer opens this account;
• the appointments and card photographs stored for the people you manage, and those people's records, including the names you gave them;
• sharing: anyone you shared a schedule with loses access to it, and you leave any care circle you joined;
• the phones registered to receive your notifications, and the links between your account and any purchase.

The phone you delete from is cleared of everything on it, including anything someone else using that phone had saved there. The app on your other phones is cleared and signed out if it reaches the service within an hour of the deletion; a phone that does not is signed out when it is next opened, but keeps what it already holds until the app is removed from it. After deletion you can use the same email address to open a new account. It starts empty: nothing from the deleted account can be brought back into it.

What is kept

Some records are kept after an account is deleted: a record that the account was deleted, a record that each person tracked with it was removed, the access records our service keeps without names or email addresses, our backups and service logs until they age out, the account's identifier in other people's care-circle and appointment records, the emails of a request made by email until we delete them, and the purchase records Apple and Google keep themselves. How long it takes

In the app, the deletion starts when you confirm, and it finishes without any further step from you.

A request by email is read and acted on by a person, not by an automated system, so it is not handled the moment it arrives. When your confirmation reaches us, we start the same deletion the app starts, and we tell you by email that it has started.

Sign in with Apple

If you delete your account in the app on an iPhone you signed in on with Apple, we ask Apple to end PayungMed's link to your Apple ID. If that did not happen, or you asked for deletion by email, you can remove PayungMed from your Apple ID yourself. On your iPhone, open Settings, then Apple ID, then Sign in with Apple, choose PayungMed, and choose Stop Using.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a Family Plan subscription. The store that sold it keeps charging until you cancel it there, and a subscription cannot move to a new account. You can cancel it before you delete your account:

• Google Play: open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose PayungMed, and tap Cancel subscription.
• App Store: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose PayungMed, and tap Cancel Subscription.
